Here in the United States we have much to be thankful for: Health, security, family, freedom, education, abundance, and so much else. However, for our brothers and sisters in America’s former colony there continue to be struggles.
Poverty, malnutrition, and lack of educational opportunities continue to be concerns that effect innocent children as well as the stability of the country.
Now a new case of Ebola has emerged, claiming the life of a young teenage boy this monday, and infecting his family.
This year Lifting Liberia encourages us all to celebrate what we are thankful for by being conscious of how much so many have lost. Let’s make this year about remembering the men, women, and children in America’s former colony who are continuing to fight for their lives and safety against this voracious disease, and poverty.
Don’t forget Giving Tuesday this year. Let’s show Liberian’s this year they have our support!
