This past week Lifting Liberia raised money and spread some awareness at the Wheeler Farm Farmer’s market in Salt Lake City, Utah. Volunteers set up a stand selling hand-made woven baskets by women in Liberia.
Among the volunteers at the stand were Karen Mathot’s own children Theddus and Stephanic both adopted from Liberia, and now happy to help support their family and friends still there.
Every purchase of these baskets not only helps raise funds for Lifting Liberia and its efforts to assist children orphaned by Ebola, it also supports the local women who make them.
Stop by Sunday June 28th from 9am to 2pm to show your support and pick up a beautiful hand-made basket!
